[sad] Guy realizes in dentist’s chair he’s not really All That anymore

This is kind of sad.

I went to the Oral Surgeon’s on Friday for a consultation prior to having my wisdom teeth extracted — something I should’ve done when I was 19, right? Wait, wait. That’s not the sad part.

I got to have my whole head bombarded with X-rays, because they wanted a panoramic radiograph to see what’s going on. This was pretty cool and futuristic, because the machine like clamped my head in place and then the ray-shooting part rotated perfectly around the sides of my face. Wait, wait. That’s not the sad part.

So then I went back to sit and read TIME magazine in the reception area while they developed the radiographs. That’s not the sad part either, but here it comes.

The nurse or whatever calls me to come back and see the dentist/surgeon guy, and I could swear on the way back to the room she was VERY MUCH flirting with me. All sparkly eyes, wagging her tail for me to follow her, even accidentally asking me TWICE with a slight squeal “How are youuuuuuuuu todayyyyyy?”
